Q & A
Why do you like it hot?
I like how the heat helps purify my body of toxins, and stretches my muscles.
What is your favorite pose?
I would have to say it's also my most challenging: "tree to toe". I am determined to master the balance.
What did you enjoy most during your challenge experience? The fact that I was able to overcome and finish the challenge, no matter my discomfort. The teachers were all so great and encouraging. It helped me push myself through and want to achieve my goals.

 |
Do you remember which day was your best class?
No, but my first week and last week were my best! I know around Day 25 or so, I felt stronger in a lot of my poses and really pushed myself.
What were you doing the day you decided you were going to do the 30 day challenge?
Not sure, but I think Amanda and I were out to dinner, talking about wanting to start our new year right and cleanse out all the past years toxins.

 |
During your 30 day challenge, what helped you the most?
That I had a partner (Amanda M.) to help push me through the hard parts. If someone else relies on you, you push to push each other.
What was the first thing you thought of when you woke up in the morning during your challenge?
Depending on the day, some were "I want more sleep" - haha. Others were "I am going to get this or that pose today!" And "I am going to do every pose in class today!"

None in particular, as long as they are long enough to do tree without slipping and they "stay put" through all poses.
What’s your favorite place to hang out in Lahaina (besides Bikram of course)?
I stay up north most of the time. I like the restaurants, I come into town for Star Noodle, Kobe, and Cool Cats!

 |
Any tips for fellow challengers?
Push through those rough weeks! The middle is hard- you're sore and want to quit. By the middle of the third week, it gets better and you look forward to what you will achieve in class that day!

What did you enjoy most during your challenge experience? Going through it with my friend Aimee. It helped me create a routine around exercise and health. It became part of my every day.

Having to force myself to go on days I got very little sleep.
